Why I Should Not Recycle Pizza Boxes, and More Great Things Every Eco-Nerd Should Know
This is really great info. I had no idea you couldn’t recycle things with a bit of food left on them.
I have always recycled pizza boxes - better to recycle more than less, right? Wrong. Food contamination ruins millions and millions of dollars of recycled paper every year. Other culprits: adhesives - that includes Post-Its. I had never considered that recycling my sticky notes could ruin recycled paper, but they do!
