You’d Think After ‘24’ Years I’d Be Used to the Spin

You know how everyone is coming up with lists of the best and worst of 2009? And you know how you hate those lists but also secretly kind of love them for making you remember and then reflect? Well, you can go ahead and add me to the list of people you love to hate on December 31st.

Best of 2009:

- Meeting Michael

- The holy matrimony of Pam and Steven

- Quitting my job to travel Europe for 2 months

- Making some incredible new best friends (see: Katie Gastley, Michael Matthews, Marvin Torres, Maurice Bowden, Thomas Fletcher, Netta P)

- Becoming closer with older friends (see: Julia Pflaum, Matt Wien, Meredith and Chris Whitney)

- Embracing new adventures

- Inauguration of Obama

- All Points West @ Liberty State Park

- NYC going away party

- My parent’s visit to the Big Apple

- Meeting Mike’s parents in Florida

Worst of 2009:

- Spending too much money on the hell-cat of the decade

- Unemployment (made worse by the fact that it is self-inflicted; see: Europe 2009)

- Leaving NYC

- Credit cards (just all around, these things are bad news)

I guess this year definitely yielded more pluses than minuses. At the end of the year I can say that 2009, despite it’s trials and tribulations, has made me a happy girl.
